The Saddest Competition by Bogdan Burdusel

I look around at this

Competition for the broken-hearted

Every day, there is another winner

There’s not enough time for love

In this rushing society

Against which we carry a war

Without enough weapons

It’s full of sad winners...

The most bitter podium

Filled with all type of youngsters

That fell out of love

The competition is tight

There is always someone new

Stating that he/she deserves

To be awarded for their intimate suffering

Nothing is completely certain

With love as a continuous bet

No one starts with an advantage

The odds are just numbers

Emptied with no meaning

I would continue to write...

But there is someone checking again the points

I am going to see

If I can keep my leader position

Of the saddest competition
