FOR ART LOVERS:

  • Fascination Paper (until 22.3)

    • Interested in drawings on paper? The Albertina is home to one of the largest collections of drawings, prints and artistic works on paper, which you can explore until March 22nd. 

  • Gustave Courbet exhibition (19 February to 21 June) 

    • The Leopold Museum opens the first solo exhibition in Austria of French Artist Gustave Courbet. It includes 87 paintings and 130 exhibits from various periods of his work including early self-portraits and paintings with a focus on social realism and artistic bohemianism. 

  • Waldmüller exhibition ( 27 February to 14 June)

    • The lower Belvedere opens the Waldmüller exhibit with his beautiful landscape painting of woodland, lakes and mountains from 19th century Europe. It includes 65 works. 

FOR MUSIC LOVERS: 

  • Vienna Blues Spring (20.3 to 31.5)

    • The Vienna Blues Spring festival brings together a blue spring! Local performers and overseas guests will collaborate with regular performances taking place at the Der Reigen.

FOR FILM LOVERS: 

  • Festival du Film Francophone (16.3 to 1.4)

    • Film takes on France! Visit Votiv Kino or De France Kino for their annual Festival du Film Francophone. While the films come from different parts of the world they all share the French language. Visit this festival to practice your French or enjoy a bit of non Hollywood film galore. 

PARTY SCENE: 

  • St. Patrick’s Day (17.3)

    • Visit any Irish pub to enjoy a pint of Guinness and embark on a Paddies day whirlwind of emotion. Party, drinks, food and good vibes! Visit Charlie P’s, Goldenharp or any other Irish pub where St. Patrick is celebrated!
